1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?
For 8 years now, but i paused over 3 years submitting anything. Actually you can say, I am 5 years on Deviantart continuously.
2. What does your username mean?
The first name is a shortcut of my real name. The second "Blank" is the meaning for an empty sheet on which hasn't be painted or written on yet. It is the part of my way in life I don't know until now.
3. Describe yourself in three words.
too. many. ideas.
4. Are you left or right handed?
Right handed. I once tried to draw and write left handed, but it is really difficult. I managed it, but I needed a lot of time and a lot of patience.
5. What was your first deviation?
OUH ..... Actually I just joined DA because of a friend and I did her this Fanart:
Can't help but telling you, that I finally come back to this Manga-series and it catched me again like a storm! I guess, you can see it in my gallery lately *-______-*. Maybe I recrate this artwork some day. I am not really proud of this one....-_____-.
6. What is your favourite type of art to create?
I always want to create something emotional, what relates to the soul of the one, who is looking at my art. I think, it is neccessary, that a drawing or painting has some kind of soul, who touches a certain point of the heart. It doesn't matter, if it is funny, sad, storytelling, disgusting, epic, cute, .....
As long I can tell a story with it, I managed to do something good.
7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
Concept design in rough style but percisely... how to explain?
I love when someone is able to do a picture in a few quick lines which looks perfectly and alive with just a few strokes. I am on the contrary a detail lover and this is my challenge all time.
I love concept designs for characters and environment, ships, situations... they are painted rough, but anyhow percisely and colouful and alive. These artists manage details with just a few strokes and this is what impresses me. I always like to see "Making Of"- Books of games or movies. It is an enormeous inspiration for my own skill to get better.
8. What was your first favourite?
This was the first favourite because in this time I read the volumes of the manga NARUTO the first time.
A favourite for me is a favourite, when I have this "first-second-experience". You see an artwork and inside you your soul tells you right the first second: WOW!
This can be different types of artworks. As long as it tells me a story or has a special athmosphere which touches me, I fave an artwork.
10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
Though to answer actually....., because it is a mix between many artists. I have not ONE special artist. And with the years it varied a lot, bacause I tried different styles and due to this I orientate myself on different artists.
But here are some artists, who had a special impact to me:
I love his percise way to draw people and the way he uses the colour.
He has a unique style which is always recognizeable.
He also has a unique style I love very much.
She has very emotional paintings
The way she uses colour is just incredible.
I love his style and compositions. All his artworks look so real.
I love especially his sketches. Each single piece is fantastic.
She has a very gorgeous way to write fanfiction and to capture the character as it is! Incredible stories.
I love how she captures emotions of a single moment.
One artist, who had an deep impact on me, is not on DA. He is also from Germany and a very well known artist in France as well.
I could list many many more here ....
11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
I met them one week ago!!!! FINALLY!
Never thought I will have such a strong friendship so far away from my country!
It was one of the best experiences in my life! Those two are a constant inspiration for me.
12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
Actually it was a single commission, what causes a queue of coincidences (I call it miracles) that leads me to get to know
. I never thought, that I would draw two persons so many artworks because of friendship. I never did that before. And actually ... I still can't explain it yet. It is still a miracle for me. I call it WAVELENGTH!
13. What are your preferred tools to create art?
pencil and ink pen in traditional on a sketchpad
wacom intuous 5 touch tablet and Photoshop CS6 in digital
14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
I have no special place. The inspiration comes to me everywhere. But I really love to draw when I sit in bed deep in the night. Best time for drawing ever!!!!!!
15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
Oh, good question, let me think .....
There were many good moments, especially when I got my first DD.
My best memory I already described. But one memory in this story was also very special:
I did a commission for
in december. It should be a birthday present for her boyfriend. They are both into Naruto cosplay. We had a few chats until her boyfriend tells me he want to make a proposal as Kakashi to his girlfriend (who commissioned me). He was very nervous and hoped that all would turn out perfectly. Later they sent me the video of the proposal. He proposed to her on the stage on a anime convention before the audience and she broke out in tears of joy! She never expected that! And sure, she said YES!
Now you know a little bit more of me ....
